The easternmost chauffeur in the country
Newfoundland and Labrador books chauffeurs for a capital city that is the offshore oil industry's shore base and the region's medical and university centre, for an airport that is the country's foggiest, for the Trans-Canada that is the only road across the island, and for the Gros Morne and Bonavista visitors who come in July. No city here has its own page yet; St. John's, Mount Pearl, Paradise, Conception Bay South, Gander, Grand Falls-Windsor, Corner Brook, Deer Lake, Stephenville, Happy Valley-Goose Bay and Labrador City price on the engine to the same standard through our own cars in St. John's and vetted partner operators elsewhere. This page is the map: the airports, the Trans-Canada, the corridors, the weather, the moose, the sectors, the occasions and the provincial rules.

The airports
St. John's International - six kilometres from downtown and the country's foggiest major airport - is the province's gateway; Gander's is the historic transatlantic stop and the central island's field; Deer Lake's is the door to Gros Morne and the west coast; Stephenville, Goose Bay, Wabush and St. Anthony serve the rest. Every one is on the airports page and on the engine, and the flight-tracked pickup matters more here than anywhere: a fog hold of three hours is an ordinary Tuesday in St. John's, and the chauffeur is re-timed without charge.
The Trans-Canada and the corridors
The Trans-Canada Highway 1 runs nine hundred kilometres from St. John's to Port aux Basques through Clarenville, Gander, Grand Falls-Windsor, Deer Lake and Corner Brook, and is the island's only cross-province road; Route 10 runs the Irish Loop south of St. John's, Route 230 the Bonavista Peninsula, Route 430 the Viking Trail north from Deer Lake through Gros Morne to St. Anthony; the Trans-Labrador Highway crosses the mainland. The city-to-city service prices each as a fixed fare with the return built in.
| Corridor | Approx. km | Off-peak hours | Notes |

| St. John's - Conception Bay South / Holyrood | 25 / 45 | 0.4 / 0.6 | Route 2 + 60 |
| St. John's - Bay Bulls / Witless Bay (puffins) | 30 / 35 | 0.5 | Route 10; boat tours |
| St. John's - Argentia ferry | 130 | 1.5 | Route 100 |

| Corner Brook - Port aux Basques ferry | 220 | 2.25 | Trans-Canada |
Figures are approximate; the engine prices the exact address. There are no road tolls in Newfoundland and Labrador; the Marine Atlantic ferry fare is added at cost when the vehicle sails.
The fog, the wind and the moose
St. John's has more fog days than any major city in Canada, the wind on Signal Hill and the Trans-Canada at Wreckhouse can close the road to high-sided vehicles, the winter brings snow that stays and a freeze-thaw that glazes the hills, and the island has more moose per kilometre of highway than anywhere on the continent - a hazard from dusk to dawn that every chauffeur here respects. Every vehicle in the fleet runs winter tyres, NL 511 is what dispatch reads before every corridor departure, and a long transfer is timed for daylight where the party's schedule allows.
The offshore sector and the corporate account
The offshore oil companies and their supply chain in St. John's, the Marine Institute and Memorial University, the health sciences centre, the provincial government at Confederation Building, the mining companies with operations in Labrador, the Coast Guard and the naval reserve, the Gander airport authority and the aviation cluster: the corporate account's one monthly invoice covers the YYT transfer, the crew-change morning and the offshore executive's visit, with a car warm at the curb and a chauffeur who knows that a fog hold is not a delay but the weather.
The occasions
The Quidi Vidi and the Signal Hill weddings, the outport weddings that the desk builds by hand from the church's directions, the June proms and the Memorial convocations, the Growlers and the Regatta Day that is a civic holiday when the weather allows it, George Street Festival, the Sound Symposium, the Folk Festival: the wedding, prom, sporting events and nights out pages cover each, and George Street's evenings are the nights out page's Newfoundland entry.
Gros Morne, Bonavista and the Viking Trail
Gros Morne's fjords and the Tablelands from Deer Lake, Trinity and Bonavista's puffins and the Root Cellar capital from St. John's, the Irish Loop and the whales at Witless Bay, Twillingate's icebergs in June, L'Anse aux Meadows' Norse site at the end of the Viking Trail: the city-to-city service prices the drives, the hourly chauffeur the days, and the travel desk the inns; the Viking Trail is a two-day itinerary with the chauffeur's overnight quoted.
The rules a passenger might want to know
Chauffeurs hold the province's Class 4 licence for taxis, limousines and small buses and the vehicles carry commercial passenger insurance; the municipalities license the operators. Winter tyres are not required by law but every vehicle in the fleet runs them. Child restraints are required by the Highway Traffic Act until the child is nine, 145 centimetres or thirty-seven kilograms, and the chauffeur fits the seat at no charge when it is noted at booking. The drinking age is nineteen and alcohol in a vehicle is permitted only in a licensed limousine with a partition, for passengers of age; the NLC sets the retail rule.
What a limo costs in Newfoundland and Labrador
Fixed by the addresses and the vehicle class, shown before you book. YYT to downtown St. John's in an Executive Sedan is the province's most-booked transfer and the shortest airport run on this site; the Trans-Canada corridors and the peninsulas are fixed fares with the return built in; the wedding, the Regatta and the George Street evening are priced by the hour with a minimum. The ferry fare is added at cost when the vehicle sails. No surge on a fog day, no meter, no gratuity added. The fleet page has the capacities.
Labrador and the ferries
Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Labrador City and Wabush are served through their airports and partner operators; the Trans-Labrador Highway is a gravel-and-pavement road for which the desk quotes an SUV and an overnight. Marine Atlantic's ferries from Port aux Basques and Argentia to North Sydney are the island's road links to the mainland, and a chauffeured transfer to or from either terminal is a fixed fare timed to the sailing.
Two questions Newfoundland travellers ask the desk
What happens if the fog holds my flight for three hours? The chauffeur is re-timed to the new arrival without charge; that is what flight-tracking is for, and in St. John's it is used more than anywhere. Can we drive to Gros Morne from St. John's? Yes, but it is seven hours; most travellers fly to Deer Lake and book the ninety-minute transfer from there, which the desk recommends. A third, asked every July: Regatta Day's date is decided by the wind on the morning, and the cars are booked for both possible days.

Booking notes by vehicle class in Newfoundland and Labrador
The Executive Sedan is the YYT-to-downtown car and the Conception Bay corridor car; the Premium Sedan is the Water Street and Confederation Building choice; the Luxury SUV is the Bonavista, Gros Morne and Viking Trail vehicle and the one to book for any Trans-Canada run in winter; the Executive Sprinter carries the wedding party, the Regatta group, the offshore crew and the outport wedding's guests; the Stretch Limousine is the prom and wedding car in St. John's and the only vehicle in which the province's alcohol rule permits a glass; the Minicoach is the corporate shuttle and the George Street group's vehicle for twenty. The fleet page has the capacities and the booking page prices each class against the address.
Three Newfoundland itineraries the desk builds most often
The YYT transfer through a fog hold. The flight tracked from departure, the three-hour hold watched, the chauffeur re-timed without a call from the passenger, and six kilometres to the hotel when the wheels are down - the province's most-booked transfer and the reason flight-tracking exists, and the airport transfers page has the mechanics.
The Bonavista Peninsula day. St. John's pickup at eight, the Trans-Canada and Route 230 to Trinity in three hours, the Skerwink trail and the pageant, Bonavista's puffins and the Root Cellar capital, and the return by evening - the hourly rate for the day in an SUV, and the hourly chauffeur page has the minimum.
The Deer Lake-to-Gros Morne transfer with the Tablelands. Deer Lake airport pickup with the flight tracked, Route 430 to Rocky Harbour in ninety minutes, the Tablelands and the Western Brook Pond boat over the following days by the hour, and the return - fixed fares with the return built in, and the travel desk books the inn.
The Newfoundland and Labrador numbers a traveller might want
Newfoundland and Labrador is home to roughly five hundred and forty thousand people, half of them on the Avalon Peninsula; St. John's International handled close to one and a half million passengers in its last full year and records more than one hundred and twenty fog days a year; the Trans-Canada runs nine hundred and five kilometres across the island from St. John's to Port aux Basques; and the island's moose population - well over a hundred thousand from a handful introduced in 1904 - is the reason a long transfer is timed for daylight. NL 511, the St. John's International Airport Authority and Newfoundland and Labrador Tourism publish the figures.

How long is St. John's airport to downtown?
About ten minutes - six kilometres - one fixed fare, with the flight tracked through the fog holds that St. John's is known for and the chauffeur re-timed without charge.
What happens when fog delays my flight?
The chauffeur is re-timed to the new arrival without charge; a three-hour fog hold is ordinary in St. John's and flight-tracking is built for it.
Can you take us to Gros Morne or the Viking Trail?
Yes - Gros Morne in ninety minutes from Deer Lake as a fixed fare, the Viking Trail to L'Anse aux Meadows as a two-day itinerary with the chauffeur's overnight quoted.
Do you drive the Trans-Canada across the island?
Yes - Clarenville, Gander, Grand Falls-Windsor, Corner Brook and the ferries as fixed fares with the return built in; long runs are timed for daylight because of the moose.
